The Multical 403 by Kamstrup is a compact, simple and easy to use MID approved Heat Meter ideal for residential or small commercial applications.  The Multical consists of a flow sensor, an electronic display and a pair of temperature sensors.  The meter comprises an integral logger which supports programmable logging intervals from 1 minute to 1 year.  The meter has 20mm couplers suitable for connection to ¾" pipe which will cater for flow rates up to 5.0m³/h.

Heat meters are superb for measuring the consumption of thermal energy and are typically used to charge for heating from a communal boiler or to measure the benefit from Air Source Heat pumps.  This enables homeowners to generate additional income through the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Scheme.

This meter comes with an Mbus output for use with a Building Management System.  Additionally, the Mbus output can be attached to your MeterPay electricity meter for a multi-utility prepayment metering solution.
