Popular Applications
Our Coin, Card & Token Timers can be used for almost any application where you are looking to charge for or control the use of a variety of devices. Below, we list a number of the most popular applications, along with some of the features and benefits of selected timers.
Washing Machines | ||
Feature | Benefit | |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM2000R | Pre-Set Tariff | Allows a fixed amount to be set before the connected device will operate. For example, if you wish to charge £3 for 1 hours use of a washing machine, the timer will not switch power to the washing machine until all three £1 coins have been entered. Without this feature, a user could enter a £1 coin and receive 20 minutes of wash time, potentially cutting power to the machine mid-cycle. |
Tumble Dryers | ||
Feature | Benefit | |
TIM30 / TIM60 | Start / Stop | Allows the tumble dryer to be paused / re-started as required using the buttons on the timer. An optional start / stop fascia is available if required. |
Showers Our timer range will support loads of between 13 Amps and 30 Amps. Electric showers will require a higher capacity and so an External Contactor is required. We range a 40 Amp Contactor, (up to 10 kW), or a 63 Amp Contactor, (up to 14.5 kW). For Mixer Showers, our Timers can be connected to a Solenoid Valve, which will switch flow on and off to the shower.
Feature | Benefit | |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Pre-Start | Allows a count down before the shower switches on. For example, you may wish to allow 2 minutes from entering credit, to allow users to get undressed, particularly if the timer cannot be positioned in close proximity to the shower, (i.e. wet areas). |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Pre-End | Allows an audible warning, (either from the timer or from an external alarm), to be given before the end of the allotted time period. Giving time, for example, for a customer to wash shampoo out of their hair. |
Sports Lighting | ||
Feature | Benefit | |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Pre-Start | Allows a count down before the lights switch on. For example, you may wish to allow 2 minutes from entering credit, to allow users to get on to the court, particularly if the timer cannot be positioned in close proximity to the lit area, (i.e. outside). |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Pre-End | Allows an audible warning, (either from the timer or from an external alarm), to be given before the end of the allotted time period. Giving time, for example, for competitors to finish a game. |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Run-On | Allows a secondary device to continue for a pre-determined time once the allotted time has run out. For example, you may wish secondary lighting to remain on in a court, allowing customers to exit safely. |
Equestrian (Solariums, Wash Rooms etc.)
Feature | Benefit | |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Pre-Start | Allows a count down before the connected device switches on. For example, you may wish to allow 2 minutes from entering credit, to get to the device, particularly if the timer cannot be positioned in close proximity to the area, (i.e. outside). |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Pre-End | Allows an audible warning, (either from the timer or from an external alarm), to be given before the end of the allotted time period. Giving notice, for example, that wash room equipment will finish shortly. |
Air Conditioning | ||
Feature | Benefit | |
TIM3500 | Current Sensing | This feature means that the timer won't count down unless the air conditioning is running. Perfect for both inverter and non-inverter air conditioning systems. |
TIM30 / TIM60 | Start / Stop | Allows the air conditioning to be paused / re-started as required using the buttons on the timer. An optional start / stop fascia is available if required. |
Sun Beds | ||
Feature | Benefit | |
TIM60 / TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Pre-Start | Allows a count down before the sun bed switches on. For example, you may wish to allow 2 minutes from entering credit, to allow users to get unchanged. |
TIM3100 / TIM3200 / TIM2000R | Run-On | Allows a secondary device to continue for a pre-determined time once the allotted time has run out. For example, you may wish a fan to stay on once the sun bed has finished. |
