Time can be set in minutes and seconds or hours and minutes, and a peak and off peak rate can be set, for variable pricing. A pre-start function allows a count down before the connected device operates and a pre-end function allows an audible warning to be given before the end of the allotted time period. A run-on function allows a secondary device, such as lighting, to continue for a pre-determined time once the allotted time has run out. The TIM2000 also features an interrogation menu allowing you to view the total on time and total money collected by the timer.

This 30 Amp meter will support a wide range of connected devices, drawing up to 6.9kW, and also features an override key switch, ideal for match play or maintenance. For devices drawing more than 6.9kW we can supply a 40 or 63 Amp contactor allowing devices of up to 9.2 kW or 14.5 kW respectively to be connected.

While easy to program on site, we can pre-program your meter for you prior to dispatch. Just select the optional extra and enter your requirements upon placing your order, or feel free to call our friendly sales team who will be more than happy to help.

Q: Do you make a meter with load sensing that could detect when virtually no power is being drawn and end the timing so that it can be used on a washing machine has completed its wash

A:

The TIM3500 is our current sensing timer and so the available time will only count down when the connected device is drawing power, with any remaining time staying on the timer until power is drawn again.

Q: I need a timer for a Washing Machine. I need it to take three £1 equaling £3 and giving around 2hrs on (to be set by me), but I don’t want it to function at all until the whole £3 is inserted. The reason is my Tenants try and squeezes a quick wash on £2 and the Machine gets stuck part cycle and goes cold. This frustrates the life out of other tenants wanting to use the machine. So I only want to offer wash cycle for £3. Any additional time required is in increments of £3 only. Also pound coins only as I don’t want to be sorting coins later.

A:

Both the TIM3100 and TIM2000R would allow you to set a pre-set tariff, i.e. a fixed amount that needs to be entered before the connected device will operate, (n.b. the TIM35000 also has this feature, but as a current sensing timer, any time left once the washing machine finishes would then be held for the next tenant).  Both can be programmed to accept £1 coins only.

Q: Hi, I have lost the key to access the TIM 30 advanced programmable timer. It looks to be an older version than the one pictured as the keys look different. Do you supply replacement keys? I can email a photo if that helps?

A:

If you can email the serial number of the timer, (written on the base), we can confirm with the manufacturer which key code you require.  Please Note, replacement keys will only be sold to customers who have previously purchased a corresponding timer through us or can verify that they are a legitimate customer, (e.g. a landlord).

Kind regards,

Q: How easy are these to fit to a washing machine and drier please? Any restrictions on the type of machine these can be fitted to?

A:

These will need to be fitted by a qualified electrician, but they're pretty straight forward to install and set-up. You can view installation and programming instructions under the Downloads tab on the product page. They should work for all types of washing machines and driers.
