Metering Kit with Integrated Test Block

 

Challenge: 

Our client requested a metering kit with the Socomec A20 meter mounted into the door of the enclosure. They’d been asked to install metering on a 400A supply and required a Modbus output on the meter to integrate with their clients existing BMS system. In addition, they requested a test block, which enables the meter to be routinely tested and/or changed safely with the primary supply circuit energised.

Solution:

S P Wales built a pre-wired enclosure with the Socomec meter, complete with Modbus communication module, mounted on to the front of a compact steel enclosure. Inside, the test block was fitted at the bottom of the enclosure for easy access. It was supplied complete with our T36 split core CT’s that can open up and clamp round existing cables without disconnection and the meter was pre-programmed to the correct CT ratio prior to dispatch.
