Surge Protection Devices, (SPDs), are designed to protect sensitive electrical equipment such as TV's, laptops, heat pumps & EV chargers, as well as consumer units and wiring, from electrical power surges, (referred to as transient overvoltages). 

These power surges can be caused by high powered machinery being switched on or off, or by lightning strikes, both direct & indirect. SPDs can protect expensive equipment from damage by absorbing and then channelling the extra voltage away from the devices they’re connected to.

SPDs are fitted in parallel with electrical circuits making them ideal for retrofitting. S P Wales range both Type 1 & 2, (protection against direct & indirect lightning), as well as Type 2, (protection against indirect lightning) and are available in both single & three phase.
