Mobile Meters for Robotics Industry

Challenge

Our client had a need to use meters with 5 pin plugs to monitor the consumption of robotic equipment in their manufacturing facility.  The meters needed to be plug in meters so that they could be moved from machine to machine.

Solution

S P Wales glanded SY cable into a metering enclosure that could sit between the supply and robot.  In addition a 5 pin plug and socket was installed at either end.

The customer is able to move and monitor the meters between various machines depending on what is being used.  It has been noted that this application is also very useful for rental machines and pop up concessions.
