Measuring Multiple 3-Phase Supplies with One Meter

Challenge

The client had a large industrial site with two tenants fed from multiple supplies. They wanted to charge for the electricity consumed over multiple circuits, through one meter.  Additionally, they wanted to automate the process of billing their clients.

Solution

S P Wales pre-wired an enclosure complete with summation CT’s and mounted the meter on to the front.  The client simply has to clamp the CT's around the supplies, connect them to the terminals in the enclosure and then take a feed from each phase and the neutral using the cables included.

The meter connects to the popular Meter Online service which allows bills to be generated based on consumption, making it easy for the client to charge for the usage.
