Q: I am wondering can this coin meter be used in a different country. I am the owner of the small camping site in Croatia and I what to know can it be programmed to except Croatian coins.
A:
The TIM30 can only be configured to accept £1 & 20p coins, €1 coin and L1 & L2 tokens. The TIM2000R, however can be configured to accept 6 different coin s of any type, which can easily be programmed on site. Simply navigate to the correct programming option then enter 12 coins of the type required. You can then assign a value to the programmed coin allowing you to specify the time per coin.
I hope this helps, but please feel free to get in touch if you require any further information,

Q: Can you please tell me if the TIM30 can be operated with a 50 Euro Cents coin? Also can multiple coins be inserted with the timer adding up for each coin?
A:
The TIM30 is only available to accept the €1 coin, however the TIM2000R can learn coins on site so can be configured for 6 coins of any type.
Upon adding multiple coins, the TIM30 will add additional time according to time programmed per coin,
Kind regards,

Q: We can’t get the meter (Tim 30) to change from hours to minutes.
A:
If you download the S P Wales Quick Programming Guide (£1 & 20p), (listed on the TIM30 product page under Downloads), you will see how to change the second digit of the configuration code, which specifies whether time is shown in hours and minutes or minutes and seconds,

Q: What is Error 08 please?
A:
Error 08 relates to the programming on the timer, which can sometimes be lost if there is a power surge or cut. You can download the programming guide from our site if required, but if you check the programming settings, this should resolve your issue,
Kind regards,

Q: Does the key for one work for all, as looking to put these across multiple rental properties without needing many different types of keys?
A:
For the TIM30, TIM3100, TIM3200 and TIM3500, the keys supplied are of the same code, so will work in all other timers supplied by us. We can also supply alternate key codes where required, for example, if you lose a set or suspect a tenant has a copy,
Kind regards,

Q: How many keys are supplied for the over-ride switch for the TIM30?
A:
All of our timers are supplied with one over-ride key, one front cover key and one cash box. Additional keys can be purchased if required from our Timer Spares section,

Q: I have a TIM30 with an error code 06 on the screen. What does this mean?
A:
Error 06 occurs when you have a time in the ST02 programming slot, (usually for 20p coins), but the machine is configured for only a pound.
If you download our Quick Programming Guide from the product page, you should be able to change this setting to 0 which will clear the error,
Kind regards,

Q: I supplied two of your TIM30 timers at a club in Croston in October 2016. One of the printed circuit boards has gone faulty, can you repair?
A:
I'm afraid the circuit boards cannot be repaired, but we have both available to purchase from the Timer Spares section of our site. We also offer a collect / repair / return service which you'll find more information on in our Services category.
Kind regards,

Q: The load & feed cable can only be fed from the back of the unit, they cannot be fed from the bottom/top of the unit?
A:
On the TIM30 there is a cutout on the bottom left hand side of the timer which you can access for termination of both cables,
Kind Regards,

Q: Hi, I have lost the key to access the TIM 30 advanced programmable timer. It looks to be an older version than the one pictured as the keys look different. Do you supply replacement keys? I can email a photo if that helps?
A:
If you can email the serial number of the timer, (written on the base), we can confirm with the manufacturer which key code you require. Please Note, replacement keys will only be sold to customers who have previously purchased a corresponding timer through us or can verify that they are a legitimate customer, (e.g. a landlord).
Kind regards,

Q: I have a timer and from yesterday the display is flashing between ‘e’ and ‘et30’
Nothing works (overriding, coins etc.)
Any help greatly appreciated
A:
I'm afraid this message on the display indicates a failure on the Power Supply Board. If the timer is less than a year old, this would be covered under the warranty, (subject to appropriate use), but if not, you can purchase these boards from our Timer Spares section on the website, They're quite easy to fit on site but we do offer a Collect/Repair/Return service which you can find more information about under the Meter Repairs section of our site.

Q: When 20p is inserted it is registering the same time as a £1, have I set it up incorrectly or have I done something wrong?
A:
It sounds like you have the same time set for a £1 & 20p. There are two separate registers, ST.01 that specifies the time given for a £1 coin, and ST.02, which specifies the time given for a 20p. It sounds like you just need to amend the time given in the ST.02 register, but if you have any further trouble, feel free to get in touch.

Q: I have 2 of these meters and they periodicaly loose all there programming can you suggest a cause and advice
A:
Power surges or power cuts can sometimes result in the timer losing it's programming, however, if this is a consistent issue, it may indicate a fault with the control board. We have these available as a spare part and they are relatively straight forward to replace.

Q: Can you tell me how many keys (cashbox and matchplay keys) does this unit come with as standard.
Thanks
A:
The TIM30, TIM60, TIM3100, TIM3200 & TIM3500 all come with one set of keys but additional sets are available to purchase separately in our timer spares category.

Q: Is this a cumulative meter ie. it is possible to put multiple coins in at a time to add multiples of the programmed time.
Thanks
A:
Yes, the TIM30 will work exactly in this way, keep adding coins to the timer and each coin will accumulate the programmed time.

Q: How easy are these to fit to a washing machine and drier please? Any restrictions on the type of machine these can be fitted to?
A:
These will need to be fitted by a qualified electrician, but they're pretty straight forward to install and set-up. You can view installation and programming instructions under the Downloads tab on the product page. They should work for all types of washing machines and driers.

Q: I have 20p / £1 coin meters. Will this conversion still allow both?
A:
The conversion kit will allow use of the new £1 coin, (while stopping use of the old £1 coin), and will still accept 20p's.
Kind regards,

Q: Can u tell me if the power is cut to a TIM3500, which often happens in Spain, do you lose the credit that was on the meter?
Jason
A:
Hello Jason,
The TIM3500, (and TIM30, TIM3100 & TIM3200), has a 'Clear Credit on Power-up' feature, which allows you to control whether the timer retains any remaining credit or not, when powered down.
Kind regards,
The Stephen P Wales team

Q: I need a timer for a Washing Machine. I need it to take three £1 equaling £3 and giving around 2hrs on (to be set by me), but I don’t want it to function at all until the whole £3 is inserted. The reason is my Tenants try and squeezes a quick wash on £2 and the Machine gets stuck part cycle and goes cold. This frustrates the life out of other tenants wanting to use the machine. So I only want to offer wash cycle for £3. Any additional time required is in increments of £3 only. Also pound coins only as I don’t want to be sorting coins later.
A:
Both the TIM3100 and TIM2000R would allow you to set a pre-set tariff, i.e. a fixed amount that needs to be entered before the connected device will operate, (n.b. the TIM35000 also has this feature, but as a current sensing timer, any time left once the washing machine finishes would then be held for the next tenant). Both can be programmed to accept £1 coins only.
Kind regards,
The Stephen P Wales Team

Q: Do you make a meter with load sensing that could detect when virtually no power is being drawn and end the timing so that it can be used on a washing machine has completed its wash
A:
The TIM3500 is our current sensing timer and so the available time will only count down when the connected device is drawing power, with any remaining time staying on the timer until power is drawn again.
