A pre-start function allows a count down before the connected device operates and a pre-end function allows an audible warning to be given before the end of the allotted time period. A run-on function allows a secondary device, such as lighting, to continue for a pre-determined time once the allotted time has run out. A credit save feature allows customers to pause the connected device, with an optional 'start/stop' fascia available and a resettable coin counter shows how much should be in the coin box upon emptying. This timer can be configured to accept £1 & 20p's, €1's or L2 & L4 tokens, simply select your requirement upon ordering.

Your logo and contact details can be included on the front cover of the timer. If required, select the optional extra and email us a copy of your logo to sales@spwales.com

While easy to program on site, we can pre-program your meter for you prior to dispatch. Just select the optional extra and enter your requirements upon placing your order, or feel free to call our friendly sales team who will be more than happy to help.

Q: I have 20p / £1 coin meters. Will this conversion still allow both?

A:

The conversion kit will allow use of the new £1 coin, (while stopping use of the old £1 coin), and will still accept 20p's.

Kind regards,

Q: Can u tell me if the power is cut to a TIM3500, which often happens in Spain, do you lose the credit that was on the meter? Jason

A:

Hello Jason,

The TIM3500, (and TIM30, TIM3100 & TIM3200), has a 'Clear Credit on Power-up' feature, which allows you to control whether the timer retains any remaining credit or not, when powered down.

Kind regards,

Q: Can you please tell me if the TIM30 can be operated with a 50 Euro Cents coin? Also can multiple coins be inserted with the timer adding up for each coin?

A:

The TIM30 is only available to accept the €1 coin, however the TIM2000R can learn coins on site so can be configured for 6 coins of any type.

Upon adding multiple coins, the TIM30 will add additional time according to time programmed per coin,

Q: I need a timer for a Washing Machine. I need it to take three £1 equaling £3 and giving around 2hrs on (to be set by me), but I don’t want it to function at all until the whole £3 is inserted. The reason is my Tenants try and squeezes a quick wash on £2 and the Machine gets stuck part cycle and goes cold. This frustrates the life out of other tenants wanting to use the machine. So I only want to offer wash cycle for £3. Any additional time required is in increments of £3 only. Also pound coins only as I don’t want to be sorting coins later.

A:

Both the TIM3100 and TIM2000R would allow you to set a pre-set tariff, i.e. a fixed amount that needs to be entered before the connected device will operate, (n.b. the TIM35000 also has this feature, but as a current sensing timer, any time left once the washing machine finishes would then be held for the next tenant).  Both can be programmed to accept £1 coins only.

Q: Does the key for one work for all, as looking to put these across multiple rental properties without needing many different types of keys?

A:

For the TIM30, TIM3100, TIM3200 and TIM3500, the keys supplied are of the same code, so will work in all other timers supplied by us.  We can also supply alternate key codes where required, for example, if you lose a set or suspect a tenant has a copy,

Kind regards,

The Stephen P Wales Team

Q: How many keys are supplied for the over-ride switch for the TIM30?

A:

All of our timers are supplied with one over-ride key, one front cover key and one cash box.  Additional keys can be purchased if required from our Timer Spares section,

Q: Hi, I have lost the key to access the TIM 30 advanced programmable timer. It looks to be an older version than the one pictured as the keys look different. Do you supply replacement keys? I can email a photo if that helps?

A:

If you can email the serial number of the timer, (written on the base), we can confirm with the manufacturer which key code you require.  Please Note, replacement keys will only be sold to customers who have previously purchased a corresponding timer through us or can verify that they are a legitimate customer, (e.g. a landlord).

Kind regards,

The Stephen P Wales Team

Q: Do you make a meter with load sensing that could detect when virtually no power is being drawn and end the timing so that it can be used on a washing machine has completed its wash

A:

The TIM3500 is our current sensing timer and so the available time will only count down when the connected device is drawing power, with any remaining time staying on the timer until power is drawn again.

Graham

Q: I have 2 of these meters and they periodicaly loose all there programming can you suggest a cause and advice

A:

Power surges or power cuts can sometimes result in the timer losing it's programming, however, if this is a consistent issue, it may indicate a fault with the control board. We have these available as a spare part and they are relatively straight forward to replace.

Derick Stephenson

Q: Can you tell me how many keys (cashbox and matchplay keys) does this unit come with as standard. Thanks

A:

The TIM30, TIM60, TIM3100, TIM3200 & TIM3500 all come with one set of keys but additional sets are available to purchase separately in our timer spares category.

Jacky Dakhla

Q: How easy are these to fit to a washing machine and drier please? Any restrictions on the type of machine these can be fitted to?

A:

These will need to be fitted by a qualified electrician, but they're pretty straight forward to install and set-up. You can view installation and programming instructions under the Downloads tab on the product page. They should work for all types of washing machines and driers.
